Painted bold, stylized portraits portraying Negro Culture. Hayden, along with many other painters, was inspired by jazz music and often painted scenes of jazz clubs like the one above.

Famous Harlem Renaissance Sculptor. She sculpted many famous figures like W.E.B. DuBois and Marcus Garvey. Her sculptures solidified the heroic figures of the Renaissance into their place in history.

Charles Alston and Hale Woodruff combined their talent to create the mural aboce. I depicts important events in American History and shows the involvement of blacks in each historical event.
